Terrifying But Probably True
December 8, 2006
Yeah. Kinda a continuation of the comic from the 28th, in which I vented about the "tough love" TV shows I so loathe. I could go on at length about how there's a difference between being honest with someone and being a cockbite to them (and forcing people to be cockbites to each other under the guise of "helping" them), and man - that live studio audience and those cameras, they don't help much, nope nope. Also I can't help but think of a quote from Jack Nicholson's character in the movie As Good As It Gets: "I'm drowning here - and you're describing the water!" Anyhow. Enough of that little rant.

It's that time again, kids: DONATE TO CHILD'S PLAY! In case you've never heard of it, it's a charity (founded in 2003 by Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins, the minds behind the superlative Penny Arcade) to donate games, books, and toys to children's hospitals across the US - now with hospitals in Canada, England, Australia and Egypt. They've already raised over a quarter million dollars - and we should help them raise more. Last year I was actually able to auction off the cardboard tube that I wore when I went to Blizzcon as the Cardboard Tube Pandaren and got Tycho & Gabe to sign, and though I have nothing of suitable use to auction off this year (...yet!), you should still donate RIGHT NOW. Seriously. Good cause. GO DO IT.

Also - of far lesser importance - I'm looking for guest comics to help me cover the holiday season, and if you contribute I'll send you a spiffy I'm Blue postcard (found - among other wonderful things - in our fabulous STORES! Go GO GO BUY BUY BUY!) with a little sketch on it, and of course, my eternal and undying gratitude (which is sort of ethereal, but I just prefer to think that means it goes with everything). Be a pal? Buddy? Stuffness?
